Ford Auxiliary TPMS and Rear Camera System

I did a search on this and I didn't come up with anything. I have a 2021 F250 King Ranch 6.7 and I am pulling a 5th wheel with it. My question is;
Has anyone used the auxiliary Ford TPMS system for their 5th wheel? It is $500+ and I would like to know if it is worth it. It would be nice to have all my TPMS information in on spot, the gauge cluster. I know there are good systems out there, but I would have another monitor on the dash or windshield.
Also can anyone confirm that the rear trailer camera only comes on when you are in reverse, or can you have it stay on while traveling forward, so I can watch what is behind me?
Thanks in advance!

I installed it on my f350 love the TPMS and the fact it’s right on the instrument cluster. I also like the fact that the camera is hard wired( a little bit of a challenge to run wire) rather than wireless. I’ve heard of some complaints of the wireless systems loosing signal to the monitor intermittently. I also like the fact of everything built in so I don’t have all kinds of monitors suction cupped to the windshield. Only thing I don’t like about the camera is that you cannot leave it turned on while driving and every time you put truck in reverse you have to switch from tailgate camera to trailer camera manually on the screen.

I have it and love it. I added NAVTV for it and can use it as an observation camera. It will also remember last camera view selected. That and the TPMS helps keep the dash clutter down

I did not because the TPMS they install is very low end. Ask if you can monitor temperature, individual tire pressures.
Truckers use TST.

I have the Ford Tom’s installed and the back up camera on our 35’ Montana 3120rl. Love it
You are correct about reverse only. I will be purchasing Naviks module that will allow the “passenger” to push button to show real time in forward. Also it activates right and left camera when using turn signals.
Will review hos that works later this spring. Cost for module snout $307.00. Plugs into Sync 3 system

If your king ranch truck came with the ultimate trailer tow package, the camera system, 50’ wiring harness, and TPMS sensors should have been included. The dealer adds a box with all the above hardware at the time of delivery. The sales brochure lists it as well. I’m on my 3rd king ranch 2015, 2017and 2020. All had the ultimate trailer package and came included with the camera and TPMS stuff.

My son is in the process of ordering a 2021 Ford 350 Lariat with the Tremor package. Plus he's buying a new fifth wheel . My question is ,I told him to get TPMS , whats your advice on the ultimate package as far as the TPMS for the fifth wheel, decent read outs on temperature , air pressure ,warnings etc. I run the TST 507 ,its tough to beat ,but having the TPMS on the truck screen sounds very attractive to me. Not crazy about having he TST monitor on the dash or console . I am assuming he can order this package with the Lariat.

I have it. You do not get Temperature. They made some improvements for it in 21, Not sure what. I added NAVTV so i do not have to be in reverse. I would do it again if I bought another truck

I have not actually used yet ? But check out www.naviks.com. For. Ford super duty 2017 thru 2020. They show trailer in motion ,no part number ? They removed.
I know the $300. Unit. Same as the $385 , but the higher price has additional video interface cable. The pic on site shows same pic for both.

I have called to describe unit . Sync system yo have. Trick must have the trailer video package already on board.

@boneman57,
I tried to respond to your private message, but I kept getting an error message saying you have to many private messages in your mail box and the message won't be delivered until you clear some of them out.

Scott,
I am going to install the TPMS myself. I already have a Haloview RD7 rearview camera on my Montana already. So I am not going to run the Ford camera. The ford camera system will not stay on while you are driving down the road. I like having the rearview camera on so I can see what is behind me. Some of the forum users suggested the NAVTV unit that allows the camera to stay on, but that is another expense I don't need right now. Send me your email or phone number and we can talk about it.

Also Camerasource.com makes a aftermarket kit that works with Ford sync 3 trailer connector. I'm running it on mine.
