Angry Holding tank sensors on 2017 Montana

I have the In Command control unit. My tanks fill and the sensors do not show any indication of water in the tanks. The sensors are supplied with 7 volts DC from the command board and a return line from the take to the command board. The command board put out 7 volts as it should. However, when you connect the common wire for the 7 voltes you get now votable showing on the common wire and no return voltage from the sensors. I took a Volt Ohm meeting and disconnected the common wire that sends the 7 votes to the sensors. I took a reading across the common to ground and how zero ohms which would seem to me like the common wire is shorted out. Can anyone shed some light on this. It's annoying to own an expensive trailer that can't tell you how much water is in three separate tanks. Thanks

I've owned several RVs over the years. Even a top of the line motorhome with external sensors. None of them ever worked so you could depend on them

I don't know if your sensors are the same as mine. Regardless, none of my previous RVs had accurate sensors, nor does this one. We've learned to live with estimates.

We have owned RVs for many years and don't even look at the sensor readings. We know how long we can go with the grey and black tanks and dump accordingly.

When you can see water in the toilet drain pipe or the shower stall fills up, you need to dump.

Same experience here, although fresh water readings have been reliable over the years

Rarely have a problem and if one is found it is most often rectified during the next move. Before each move all 3 tanks are drained. Then about 4 oz Aqua Chem added and 1/2 cup of Dawn with about 10 gallons of water down both gray water tanks. The black tank is a little different. Drain and add about 10 gallon of water after filling the bowl and dumping at least 3 times. Then I check the BW tank level. If not about right, dump and start BW flush with valve open for about 5 minutes. If all seems correct I do not bother with the flush. I fill bowl and flush 2 - 3 times and add 8 oz of Aqua Chem. Then 15 gallons of water and 1 cup of Dawn. I usually have 6 hours or more home and to the next CG where another 15 gallons of water added to the BW tank. Then it is dumped, galley tank, dumped, and shower tank dumped. 5 gallon added to all tanks and time to start again.

Instead of going thru all that , when they fill up I empty. Life is too short to spend that amount of time on that . I would rather be having fun .

We've had six RVs and the only tank system that worked was on a MH...SensaTank Level Monitoring System:
