Another Splendide W/D post

Sorry but have a quick question, How Hot is to Hot? When taking the clothes out of the Dryer?
It seams there is an excessive amount of heat.

If you are concerned, it must be too hot, clothes are expensive, and excessive heat from a dryer will shorten the life of them. Sue says on our Maytag, they are warm, not real hot. Take the temperature and post it, maybe someone with the same unit can do the same.

We just got our Spendide last summer and are still in the process of getting use to it. The first time I put it in the dryer mode the clothes where still damp. The 2nd time I added considerable more time and they where hot to touch. Obvious that was a little to long. So the 3rd time worked like a champ. Dry and not hot. You have to learn to gage the amount of clothes with the amount of dry time. I just put in the same amount of clothes weight and started increasing it by 10 minutes until the where dry not hot. The only neg. of the splendide for me is I wish it showed would show how much time is left of the cycles. Our units at home do that. If there is only 10 min or so left I may wait around to fold and avoid wrinkiles but as it is ...you have no idea how much longer it is going to be.

Those little buggers can really get hot. The manual will give you a number ideas of settings that will lower the heat.

Ok thanks, I am going to try and get some temps as soon as I open the door this week when we do laundry. Its good to know ours is not the only one that gets Hot to the touch when you pull the cloths out. But yes we are learning we dont need the full dryer time.
