Ladder screws

Do the screws that hold the ladder on go into the rig itself or are they just into the piece that is secured to the back of the rig. I can't get mine out they turn but I cannot get them to come out completely. Tried pulling and turning them out and no luck.

I forgot to look during the factory tour, but they could be bolted on.

The tube that the ladder bolts to has a threaded insert pressed into it. If the bolt is turning and not coming out the insert must be turning in the tube

Found a You tube on it. Didn't know there were inserts. The you tube showed a way to fix it but I have another idea i'll try when I get back to the SB and my shop.
