Sofa drawer collapse

Recently our sofa drawer dropped off the sliders under the couch on our 2010 3150 Montanna. We bought new sliders, installed them and added two support wheels to take the weight off the sliders. It works wonderfully and has never performed better. I did not have a lot of weight in the drawer but suspect bumpy roads may have been the cause. Even slowing down cannot prevent everything! Many have helped me with the odd problem so here is my contribution!

Our 2010 did the fall apart after 6 months, the design is lacking at best, the only thing we kept in tyhere were the lap top computer, and some paper plates, I rebuilt it completely, metal supports, and new HD guides, it works fine so far

yes they are flimsy. The so called locking latch broke on ours the first time we pulled the drawer out. It says 50lbs max and that is not very much. Some folks store the air mattress in the drawer and that is to much. Helen keeps a few extra linens in it and that is about all it can handle. It is handy but you need to be careful of what you store in the thing.

Huh? Locking latch? I guess I missed that as I don't recall seeing one on ours. What should I be looking for (either in the drawer or at the dealers parts supply)?

Look at the top of the drawer. It is a cheap plastic latch. You probably broke it the first time you pulled out the drawer....Like I did...

We also replaced with heavy duty sliders from Lowes. Did have to do some drilling as not all new slider bolt holes lined up with the sofa undercarriage holes for the original sliders.

Our particleboard drawer did that several times until Keystone replaced it with the plastic tub drawer. Our problem was that it opened while we were on the road and the extended weight was way to much for the cheap sliders they had on it. I cured that by keeping an orange Lego chock next to the couch and placing it under the front of the drawer when we shut the rig up for the road. Never had it roll out since..
