When opening the valves, turn the valve very slowly and just crack it open, wait a few seconds and then open the valve further. Try the driver side first and then the other side. Will the stove burners, burn? Maybe the indicator is bad. If still no, possibly the regulator has gone bad.

From the peanut gallery,
1. regulator is bad.
2. both tanks leak valves have activated. This can happen if you have a major gas request when opening the valve and it is opened too fast and the tank thinks it is a leak.
Good luck and let us know what you find.

If you are beside another trailer you might try your propane tank on their system to see if it is working correctly. That would be the quickest test of the regulator I can think of.

Dui,
John is exactly right, we have had the same problem several tims. Sometimes the OPD can get stuck if there is a "gas requst"(great description thanks, John), after you turn the tank on. Try turning everything that uses gas off.

I have found that by dropping the tank on the ground, bottom hits first, the OPD valve will settle. I usually drop it from a foot or two to the ground....After reconnecting the hose, make sure you turn the valve on very slowly.

Then, try using the stove to get the line going...good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Thanks for the responses folks. Did an internet search and can now assure myself that it is a Fairview regulator. Therefore it is not a Marshall. Guess they put these in on the new Montana's? Under warranty so brought it to the dealer this morning. Will pick up Friday and let you know what they find. Can someone confirm that the 2011 Montanas are now using the Fairview regulator instead of the Marshall. Is one superior to the other?
