Sliding Closet Door Fix Mont HC 5er

Has anyone come up with a good, easy fix for the lack of a dependable door holder?. With bad arthritic hands it is very difficult to snap the strap and it usually won't hold. We usually place a soft side bag and a rug to prevent damage from movement while traveling. There has to be a better way. Thanks

I purchased 4 straps that were about a foot long. I got inside my closet and installed hooks, two on each side, to hang the straps on. I used pliers to open the other hook end of the strap up so it would fit around the edge of the sliding closet door to hold it open. With all four straps in place holding the door in the open position they do not move while traveling.

this is what i used on the sliding bedroom door. that stupid plastic strap with a snap would never hold it. this worked perfect.

I just bought a new 2016 high country 352rl and it had that same latch already installed. maybe they heard the complaints and made a good change

They actually do do that from time to time. Much of the input is dependent on the folks at the fall rally voicing their concerns and solutions.
