WOOD CARVING
One of our many talented MOC Members, GreatWhite, does wood carvings in relief. We saw some of his works while at the 7 Feathers Rally earlier this year in June. Intrigued and impressed by his work, we asked him if he would do a carving depicting our rig and he agreed.
He began by taking several photos of our rig and then asked some of the specifics we would like to see in the carving as well as the size and type of wood it would be on. He told us he would start on it when they returned home from their summer travels and I let him know there was no rush.
Once he started, he kept us informed of the progress through email and digital photos. At each and every step of the process we were more and more pleased.
Well, we received the finished product this week and it looks even better in real life than it did in the photos. I have attached a photo of the finished product. The size is approx. 15" X 8".
Another great way to personalize our rig and make it feel more like home. We have it hanging above the entry door and used 3M Command Velcro strips to attach it to the wall.
Jack

Jack and Dave.. it was a pleasure to do that for you. Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed carving it. Too bad it's only 2 dimensional in the pic
Also, thanks to all of you for the nice comments on it.
Cheers, Bill n Barb
Hoping to re-aquaint at another rally. We are hoping to spend a few weeks to a month in AZ.. so we may well see some of you in the desert as the time approaches.

I wish I had that talent!
Excellent detail and craftsmanship. All involved can be proud of the end product. Truly a piece of art!
