3400RL slide outs
Does anyone know if it's possible to let only one or two slide outs come out at a time without damaging the system? In other words, could I just extend a couple of the slideouts, stop pushing the slide button and leave two inside the fifth wheel?

If you have the hyd. valves you can close the ones for the slides you do not want to come out. This will not hurt your slides or system at all.

On my 3400RL there is a single switch that controls all four slide outs. They come out one at a time.

The slide valves are located on top of the oil pump. You have to open the front compartment. When you spot the pump a series of knobs are on top. Screw in the knob for the slide you don't want to move. Go back inside and use the switch to move the other slides.

Our 2880RL (2001) did not have the adjustment knobs on the pump so when we'd pull into a rest area for lunch and were reasonably level we'd open the slides just whatever amount we needed, like you propose. I don't see where it would hurt anything at all. Our 3295 has the option with the knobs on the pump in the front locker so I just lock out those we don't want to open.

No problem selecting which slide(s) you want to extend or retract. Be careful, though, mine were mislabeled from the factory. On my 3400RL from left to right they are Main, TV, Kitchen, Bedroom.
