Has anyone noticed?

I just read on the internet that gas prices are plummeting and may go even lower. Has anyone noticed diesel prices plummeting?

The plummeting I notice is in my wallet when I pay for diesel! Here in San Angelo it's $3.79. Where we are from in NY it is now at $4.05.

People may be happy about gas prices dropping, but they don't stop to think that the price of diesel is what is driving up the cost of goods and services.

Gas has recently dropped below $3 for the first time in a long time around north TX.
Diesel is in the low $3.70 range.

Two things are affecting the price of diesel more than anything else. The oil fields in the Dakota's are taking 6 million gallons a month more than in previous years to run the fracking rigs and the trucks that service them. Same thing in New Mexico and other states with fracking, I just happen to know the figures for the Dakota's. It's also affecting propane. Last spring when I was in New Mexico I went to get my propane bottles filled and had to wait behind a Haliberten truck of some kind with several large tanks and lots of hoses and valves. He bought 346 gallons and when I went in to pay my bill I remarked on his bill. The lady said that truck alone came in two to three times a day and filled up. On the east coast diesel is also affected by home heating oil. Same process makes one or the other so diesel supplies usually get tight there this time of year.

Home heating oil and diesel are basically the same thing. When the refineries are making home heating oil the diesel supply drops and the price goes up. Because of this the price of diesel usually goes up in the fall and early winter.

Diesel prices always drop slower than gas, I believe because it's not used as much and takes longer to go through the dealer's stock. Of course that doesn't stop them from raising it instantly.

Diesel is not plummeting but it is holding steady and has dropped a bit.Average around here in Florida is 3.799/389.9 and has been around there since we got here in late October. Gas prices have gone down and are around 323.9.

A lot of big things use diesel Airplanes, boats, trains, big trucks and fuel guzzling RV's.

Diesel here has dropped to $3.68 a gallon, down from $3.89 in the past week. More then 5% drop, it can continue to drop all it wants, no complaints here.

Diesel prices in Bay City, Texas, have gone up a bit over the last 2 weeks. Gas prices have held fairly steady, however. Remember when diesel was cheaper than gas? I do.

Diesel prices here in South Western British Columbia are at $4.88 for the equivalent of a US gal. Would love to see something less than $4.00 per US gal.

Are we all being sc----ed, you bet we are.

Kamloops BC diesel varies between $4.67 to $5.08 a US gallon as per Gasbudy.

Canada is a net oil exporting country, yet we get taxed way more than some net oil importing countries.
