I did look at the Dexter site the 12 1/4" electric brakes has a Self Adjusting Feature. Not sure of the brakes on the trailer may not be 12 1/4". I'll look into that. If they are 12 X 2 then they would not have the self adjuster. The adjuster dial for the different sizes do show a different part number and look. Either way it is easy to adjust the brake with a straight screw driver about 10 min. a wheel.
The hunt makes the find that much sweeter!

Dave,
We have the Draw Tite Controller on our truck. Bob had to change the setting from 3.5 when towing our 32.5 New Vision to 2.5 when we brought our Monty home. We have a similar truck and of course the same model. Our brakes were grabbing on the ride home from the dealership. He changed it and we have had the Monty out on the road on flat and hill country hills and they are no longer grabbing at the lower setting. Hope this helps.

Dave, just remember to also get the level adjustment (the one on the side) correct first. Do that with the truck on level ground. That setting allows the controller to react as if it were mounted exactly level rather than being on an angle under the dash. It's a very important setting and affects everything else about the controller.
See another Montana or Mountaineer on the road? Flash lights twice, it might be one of us!
