No TV?

In my old rig I had a switch to go from shore power to battery power for the entertainment center. When we lost power this last weekend there was no power except for the lights. Am I missing something or do the Montana's just not have the opion to have the main TV working unless you're on a generator?

You need 110 somehow. Many boondockers use an inverter but you also have the option of the bedroom TV. On most recent models that's a 12v TV that can also be removed from the bedroom and mounted in the basement for outside viewing.

If you lose (shore) power, then none of the devices in your rig that require 110v will work. This kinda implies that the television and entertainment center is only 110v. Some rigs have televisions that can run 110v or 12v. Most rigs that I've seen do not have the 12v switchover. So that was a nice feature to have, but I don't think it's in your new Montana.

You obviously had an inverter (a device which converts 12V DC to 120V AC) and the Montana's do not have standard (or as an option) one. The good news is that it is easy to install one and have it supply the entertainment center in a 3700. I did it as the first thing I added to the rig.

I just installed a new Jensen 32" led 12v tv in the living area. Works great but does draw more amps than the 19" in the bedroom.
