Lisa,
I'd be interested in setting up the committee for the Friday night Pot Luck. How many do you need to work it.

Yeah! more Volunteers!

Vabluebird, I would think one other couple would make it a breeze. Just need to set up the tables for the food and organize where to put things, set up drink station, coffee, ect.

Yes, you would start a thread called something like..."Friday Pot Luck Dinner" and either make a list of things that you want people to volunteer to bring or you could just ask them to tell you what you are bringing. I would suggest making the first post a summary of what is being brought. Then you can go in and edit it as you get more info.

We have heard word that Sven and his lovely lady may not be attending (due to limited number of days allowed to visit the US). We currently plan to still have the Omlet breakfast but not having the custom made cooking vessels Sven made will make it more difficult. Anyone having a large pan capable of holding quartsize baggies vertically if you could bring those it would be very helpful. We are likely to use several such pans over propane grills to heat the water for the omlets. our attempts to do this using large crock pots was not very successful due to the low operating temp and recovery time.

Still can use alot of help to pull this event off. I have been on the road alot travelling for work and Rick and Jeana have been very busy also. Despite all that the clock keeps turning and we are now in April. we are getting excited and hope you are too. Expect more frequent updates (and pleas for help) as we get closer and closer to the end of May!)

Bill & Lisa,
Wasn't sure where to post this. Have not seen anymore re. "show and tell" but we have nothing to "show" about our rig modifications. However, Lynn has found lots of info she gathered during our 2005 trip to AK. Lynn also did a website regarding our adventure. We wondered if anyone would be interested in a "Show and Tell" about RVing to AK and our experiences? Just an idea. We'd be glad to help in any way that we can. Best regards,

We are working on finalizing the schedule with Rick and Jeana so there will be more on the show and tell. I think quite a few people would be interested in what is involved in traveling to AK. Let me know what you think you need for a time block (1 Hr, 2 Hr, Lifetime ) and we will find a spot in the schedule to put it. Also need to know what facilities support you might need. i.e. do you need to present it in the rec hall, is a laptop involved, do you have need a projector that can take laptop output? ect. Don't know what we have in that department but once we know what you need we can ask.

Salle and Samuel,
Sorry to hear that you will not be able to make it. I hope all is well and it is just life interfering with your plans and not health issues. Let us know if there is anything we can do.

Re, Show and Tell about AK trip, pretty low tech. Overview fo the trip, planning, maps, and Q&A session so folks can ask what they want. No special needs equipment-wise. Keep us posted as things evolve. We're pretty flexible. Thanks.

Lisa, Thanks for the interest. I need to go to Vermont to see the family and can not afford to take the Monty. My intent was to stop off at the rally like I did last year and go on to VT. Diesel what it is we can't take the Monty 1600 miles round trip. Samuel will stay home and I will fly Allegence.

Bill and Lisa,
Salle and Samuel have asked Sandy and I to take over as chairs for the Pot Luck dinner. We are happy to help out. Since we have not been to a rally, this will be our first. We would appreciate any tips or/and advise. Our plan is to send out a list of requested foods to the group. Has the hall been reservered for this? Do I need to contact the camp ground for number of seats? Let me know. I look forward to working with you. Tom

We have the rec hall for the pot luck, so no problems there. You can send out a list or post a new topic similar to what Salle and Samuel did.

Photographer...
I can volunteer to take some of the pictures BUT NOT ALL of the pictures. I say "BUT NOT ALL" simply meaning I would like everyone with a digital camera and the ability to download their pics to their computer to contribute.

At this time I will start another thread titled "Rally Photos" for details on how ALL the camera nuts MOCers can contribute.
