Magic Chef Oven roaring

I lit the pilot light and turned on the oven. It started roaring. A blast torch like flame was coming from the back out to the oven door. Yes, I turned it off. Afters some investigation in the manual I found I could pull the bottom pan by pushing it back and lifting up in front. Yes that was in the manual. Then I found the the real oven burner was off the orifice (where the flame was originating from). I put it back on and found the screw that had come loose. The oven works and tomorrow I will get a nut for the screw.

Just info for others.

Good catch John! Glad to hear no one was injured or any damage was done. Thanks for the heads up. I'll check mine now and see if all is well.

Thanks for posting this problem and fix. It will be a great help if it happens to us, but first I guess we have to start using the oven :-)
