I had a similiar problem with my unit. What happened was the safety pull away switch for the brakes came out about 1/4 inch from the socket under the 5th wheel pin. Not enough to notice, but enough to apply the brakes when parked. This will draw approx 8 amps on your battery, and you won't even notice. Make sure that plug is all the way in. Try that.
