Maxxair 4951KS Lift motor replacement

Hi I looked on the topics and did not find this one. I need to replace my auto lift motor. I talked to Maxxair and they said I could not remove the motor unless I get up on a 13' trailer. Not likely at my age. Has anyone replaced this motor from inside the coach? It seems possible but Maxxair made it a complicated process and said I had to do it from the roof.

Any help would be much apprecated.

Thanks

John

John,

If you can't get on the roof, hire someone to help. I do not believe it can be accessed from below.

I have seen YouTube videos replacing the lift motor and they are done from the top.

Thanks do you know what Youtube it is? I could not find one. I am a bit concerned getting on top the coach. Can't find anyone to do it. So I guess I will have to gut it out.

Thanks

John

I take it back...
To replace the "lift operator" you do that from the roof side.
To replace the lift motor (operator motor), you can do that from inside your rig.
Freeze the video at 3 minutes in and you will see the motor (black thing, bottom left corner).
