Cool Hey First time user.2019 Montana 3120 F350

Hi all from Alberta, winters in Yuma with rig.

Thinking of replacing the Lippert hitch with a Reese Sidewinder for easier parking, backing into our driveway.
Smart move or not, please send comments.

Welcome to the forum - sorry can't help with your question. At the rally last year someone mentioned there is a list of hitches that don't void warranty - might be worth investigating

I have the 5th Airborn Sidewinder hitch and it is one of the best improvements I have made so far. My friend also a MOC member has one and he likes his also.
Smooth towing with the air ride and easy maneuvering with the side winder.
The sidewinder comes as a factory option on some 5ers. Don't think they would offer it if it voided the warranty.
I had a Pullrite superglied and it took all of the storage room in the bed of the truck and it hit the siderails when turning sharp.

Thanks for your response. How about the 90 degree turn when backing up into a site on a narrow approach? Or any other maneuvering requiring a tight turn while reversing?

As a retired trucker I advise you to avoid such at all costs due to tremendous stress it puts on your units suspension. Half way into such a backup stop and walk back and look at your suspension sometime!

Welcome to the MOC here in WA State. search the forums , there are lots of hitch information, but like other subjects , sometimes it is information overload. Am sure you will get it sorted out.
