Krud Kutter my new best cleaning friend!

Krud Kutter.

Wow! I thought I was on to something when I found that hand sanitizer zips off pine sap, and it does that really well. But this!!

So I killed most every bug on my way down and back from Williamsburg. Thier carcasses plastered the nose of my fifth wheel. Car wash soap didn't touch it, bug and tar remover...ehhh...

I sprayed Krud Kutter over the entire nose, let it stand about a minute and with a car wash brush, removed everything! Black and brown waves of junk just came off. It took 5 minutes. I couldn't believe it.

I followed the cleaning with McGuire's Gold wash and wax and the nose is squeaky clean.

It worked so good that I looked for some black streaks. I sprayed those, waited a minute and brushed the area...blam clean. It removed everything I found that wasn't supposed to be on the finish.

I really recommend you try it if you have a tough job. I think we originally found this at the dollar store or it might have been in Lowes.

Give it a try! I bet you'll love it!

I have seen it but never used it. But must be something similar to what the auto car wash I go thru uses. Before I enter, the attendant sprays something on the windshield and front of my truck. And when I come out the other end, all the bug remains are gone.

There are several varieties of Krud Kutter, which one did you use? Also, did it strip the wax in the areas that were cleaned? I like the report regarding the black streaks, but I remember on a previous rig when I used Simple Green, that it stripped the wax completely off of the cleaned areas. It got rid of the black streaks and everything else down to the fiberglass!

The above link advertises it as a degreaser and oil and wax remover. I will give it a try but Inwill be sure to follow up with a good wax application.

Here it is.

As I mentioned, I followed this with Mcguire's Gold car wash and wax. It is the degreaser version. And I believe it is a "Green" product.

After a trip to Fl I had love bug issues. Nothing I tried would take them off. Tried lacquer thinner , and so on. Had on hand and finally used Totally Awesome Cleaner Concentrate
from the Dollar store. On the wax issue I would bet all the cleaners that remove bug guts will remove wax. Thanks for the heads up.

Krud Killer was under 13 $$ a gallon at Home depot just got a gallon. IMO it is the same as Awesome we have been using both for some time and I do not see a difference.

It's a Rust-Oleum product. Sold in most major big box stores.

Used Krud Kutter today on my bug encrusted front cap. Inboughtva gallon atvHome Depot for $11. I used a 50/50 mix and the bugs came off better than anything I have ever used. It wasn't so easy I couldn't believe it! I followed up,with a good wash with Meguires wash/wax. But after it dried I see I have absolutely no shine left on the front cap. Maybe this is just due to age and poor gel coat but I suspect that's the Krud Cutter is a bit too strong. Tomorrow will be a heavy waxing day trying to put a shine back on the nose of my baby.

This is in answer to my own question....according to Rustoleum, it is not recommended for use on any rubber as it may tend to dry the rubber out.

Sorry you lost the shine. I didn't experience that. I used the spray bottle. Perhaps the jug of it is concentrated and needs to be diluted more than 50/50?

I left the bottle I used at home so I don't know if it is diluted compared to what is in the "jug". I think it is important to know if there is a difference!

Hopefully it didn't cause too much extra work for you and the end result is worth it to you.

Remove bugs and tar without a struggle!

Here's another product to consider. This is what I use on my vehicles and Monty.

In the South, we are infested with the dreaded "love bugs"
I have used Krud Kutter and Bugs be Gone to help remove them.
A cheap alternative is to take an empty gallon jug and stuff as many fabric softener
sheets in it as you can. Fill the container with water and let it sit. The chemicals
From the fabric softener sheets blend with the water and makes a good bug remover.
