❤️2019 Montana

My hubby and I bought a new 2019 Montana 3701LK this February 2020! We absolutely love it so far. We are currently in it now for our second trip, since we bought it!

We currently still own a 2016 Keystone Outback, but yet to sell it yet. We thought we had a great TT, but the Montana is just a class of its own!! Any advise is always appreciated. We talked about upgrading our truck to a Chevy 3500!
Thanks for the add

Welcome to the forum. I would certainly recommend a dually no matter which brand you buy as these rv's are very heavy and you won't have to worry about weight on the truck with a dually. There are many improvements you can make as Keystone left you plenty of room for improvements and conveniences. I doubt there is a question you could ask that someone hasn't experienced on this forum. Hope you have many years of safe travels.

Welcome to the forums and congrats on your new camper.

Lately, when folks are introducing themselves, I've been going to the Keystone web site and looking up the floor plans. Here's yours: Click here.

I also notice the MSRP price listed. I know, this is not the price that is actually paid, but did notice, as the listed price, so far, yours is the highest yet! Whopping CONGRATS on that purchase! Nice!

See you on the road!

Congratulations on the 3701 LK. When my wife toured that floor plan, she looked at me and said "This is the one". The rest is history as we also purchased the 2019 3701 LK. We love the kitchen area.

Nice! Welcome to the MOC. I ditto on getting a dually. We had a SRW 3500 when we had the 3750Fl, but upgraded to the dually when we got the FK. What a difference in feeling more stability and control. IMHO it is worth the extra$. Happy Trails.

Get the one ton 2020 3500...it looks great and has great power.

as for SRW or DRW it is your choice. I'd prefer the SRW because this is our only vehicle.

My hubby wants the Chevy 3500 and definitely leaning towards the dually! Thank you for the recommendation!

Tell your Hubby that there is nothing wrong with Chevy 3500 Duallies. I'm on my third, a 2005, 2011, and now a 2018. All have been great with no issues.

We pull our 2020 3701 LK with a 3500 HO Ram LWB DRW and don’t really notice its there. I thought a SRW would be more convenient for everyday use but once you get used to it, the only issue with our truck is the length in parking lots which you will have with all LWB. I gladly trade a little inconvenience parking for the comfort and stability the big truck offers on the road towing and the dually is the ticket in crosswinds with the large 5ver.

Welcome! We have a 2018 3701 LK and are 2yrs into this new adventure(about 5mos/yr). I started with a Chevy 2500 and was overweight on the rear axle. Even though this truck can carry more total weight then we had it didn’t work on rear axle. We now have a GMC 3500 SRW and are within weights and it tows wonderfully. Have Fun!

Mollymsrm, I had my first fifth wheel and pulled it with a 3/4 ton dodge cummings, four wheel drive. It pulled really well. Then a drunk driver plowed into me and totaled my truck. I replaced it with a Dodge 3500 dually, four wheel drive with cummings. Before I told myself I would never drive a dually because that's a lot of tires to replace. After pulling our Hitchhiker fifth wheel with it I was really glad I had the dually. It's more stable. We then bought our High Country Montana 37ft and decided to go full-time. I have no regrets at all. I would encourage you to get the 3500 chevy dually, with the diesel of course.

We purchased our 2019 3700LK in October 2018. First trip was from NCAL to Palm Desert, towing with a 2015 Ford F250. Towed okay, but when I weighed the whole set-up, I learned how much over capacity I was. Sold the F250 and purchased a 2019 F350 Dually. Tows much better. Towed the 3700LK to Alaska last year. Dinette window broke (don't know how), and the axles were damaged such that one tire wore down to the steel belt. I was monitoring it, so changed it as soon as the steel came through. All five wheels/tires, two axles, and all brake calipers were replaced under warranty. (but I did pay for the installation). I did not hit any frost heaves or other bumps that would have caused the damage. Other than that, we are totally happy with our 3700LK.

have the 3701LK- biggest gripe- no pantry. So I added drawers on the lower cabinets.

We were overweight on F350 SRW. Before we added W/D aux tank and porch.

I agree with no pantry. We actually use the cabinet below the drawers on the right for my dry goods. The small cabinet behind the entertainment chairs are small enough for can foods and small prepackaged items. The space above the refrigerator is great too!

Found that under the 2 stationary dinette chairs and under the table have storage too!

We plan to go FT for about a year once our house sells, so we can start building our new home.

Good Luck ! Have fun!!
