Outdoor faucet problem, no cold water!

I have a 2009 Mountaineer 345DBQ with the little outdoor sink and cook top. The hot water side of the faucet works fine but when I turn on the cold I get nothing. Cold water is plumbed to the back of the valve. I assume something is stuck or gummed up in the cold water side of the valve itself? Has anyone had this problem or had one of these valves apart?

Thanks!

I have a 2020 3855br with an outdoor kitchen. When i winterized the camper the sink worked fine. When I started things back up for the spring I have no water going to the sink in the outdoor kitchen. Everything else is working well. Any suggestions?

kansascamper,

Do you know if the water at the sink previously worked? Is this the first time you are attempting to use it? When you turn on the hot water side, do you have hot water, or does the water never get hot. Do you have hot water inside the camper, or does only cold water run from the faucet, even though you are turning on the hot water?

If all this is true, then more than likely, you still have your water heater in by-pass mode and the hot and cold lines running into the outside faucet are reversed, and the outside faucet is plumbed in such a way that hot water will not flow when in bypass, but if lines are reversed, that might explain something. So, is water actually hot at that or any other faucet.

So, the basic question, do you have Hot water inside. Is the water heater filled with water and turned on.

Just trying to trouble shoot what the root problem is. More than likely, a valve is still flipped. But need to know first if water is hot anywhere in the camper.

Yes I had water before winterizing. I have hot water everywhere. The bypass is switched off. No water hot or cold is coming out of the outside kitchen. Everywhere else is fine.

Might try removing the aerator on the spot first. If it is a single handle faucet make sure the handle is still attached and raising the valve stem. Short of those two simple things you are going to have to start where the water line goes into the faucet and work your way from there.

Ha ha!! Operator error! Nothing wrong with it, I just didn’t remember how it worked. Lol but when you told me to try the handle... thanks again!
