Workamping in TN

We will be workamping at the Bean Pot Campground from May 21, 2005 to sometime in October. The Bean Pot Campground is off Interstate 40 near Crossville, TN. Crossville is between Knoxville and Nashville.

We look forward to meeting anyone in the neighborhood.

Glenn

Glenn, in another thread I asked when you'll be in Crossville since that's within driving distance of where we are now. However, we leave here May 6th and have to be in Indiana May 22nd. So I guess we'll miss you this time around. One of these days we'll meet up.

Hope you enjoy the summer in Crossville.

Hello Glenn.

Our Coast to Coast home park is just south of Crossville. Stayed there for a week last summer and we might stop there again this year on our way to the Adirondacks in up-state NY. If we do we'll give you a hollar.

Really enjoyed the Swap Meet, up on I40

Happy camping

Al, we'll be in Goshen, IN. We'll arrive 5/22 and be leaving as soon as they're done working on our Montana. No later than 5/28 early a.m. We'll be here in Gatlinburg, TN, until 5/6 and then will work our way to Indiana. We're undecided where to go between 5/6 and 5/22. That doesn't seem to work with your dates if I read it correctly. Where is that depot?.

Will do. Right now we've not even given it any thought. In a couple of weeks we'll sit down and make that decision.

Steve If your coming through Indiana you might want to stop at some of the state parks. Or go to Rockville Indiana where all the covered bridges are. If you come up through the fort Wayne area we have a city campground here that is real nice. I think they just put 50 amp in and put phone lines into each space. Nice showers and a laundry room. No full hookups though.

Ron, thanks for the info. I've saved it. I haven't yet given much thought to our route but we like covered bridges so will check that out. Also the state parks. Public parks we like during the week, non-weekend and non-holiday weeks, but eschew them when they're busy and noisy, if you know what I mean. We only need 30-amp but so long as we have that we're fine. Water hookups are nice if we're there more than a day or two, also.

Thanks again. If we get up towards Ft. Wayne we'll give you a holler.

Timbuktu78, we'll be in Independence, MO, the entire month of June. That's a suburb of Kansas City and is about 120 miles west of Columbia. Sounds like you are going the other way but if you change your plans, let us know.

Glenn B., We'll leave Gatlinburg this Friday, 5/20, head north out of Knoxville on I75. Probably will overnight just south of Cincinnati, then on Saturday will go on to Indiannapolis on I74, the US 31 up to the Goshen, IN, area. We need to get there Saturday to get laundry done before our Monday morning appt for the house.

Steve, if you like covered bridges, the trip to Rockville would be a great one. It's the covered bridge capitol of the world, I'd say. Lots of Amish craftsmen around there, too.

Yes, we love covered bridges. I'm saving this info just in case we get out of Goshen earlier than we expect. Or for next time around! Thanks!

We have been here since May 21. Today we had our first MOC visitor. Awaywego stopped here for one night. We had a great chat with Wayne and Arlene.
We hope that a lot more MOC members stop here to say hello. We are in Site 12 and we will be here until the end of September.
