I wouldn't even worry about electric going out at a campground. But if you want a generator just get a 2200 honda.

You might consider two 2200 generators and a parallel kit, a lot easier to handle. My back ain't what it used to be.

I agree. If power goes out you may not need to run an a/c. One Honda can handle the rest. Only if the need arises you can connect the second one at which point you'll have a ton of power.

Know two people with those Predators ,and both are happy with them, they are quiet as my Honda 2000. Camped with both of them ,and heard them run. For the money can't see how you go wrong.
Nothing beats the onboard that I had ,the Onan 5500 LP ,but thats a different ball game.

I have two of the Predator 3500 generators and a Firman 1201 parallel kit. I used one if I only needed one air conditioner, or both running together allowed me to run everything. I use them at my house and ran them for 6 days, 24 hours a day last Christmas, when a major ice storm and heavy snow took down a lot of power lines here in the Upper Peninsula. Paid 649.00 each and I am more than happy with this purchase.

Out of curiosity, if someone offered to give you a Honda or a Predator, which would you choose?

Why stop there. What if the same person offered to give you a DRV Luxury Suite or a Montana, which would you choose?

If that happened I’d take the Honda. I have a Honda that I gave a thousand dollars for new. It’s a great generator. But doesn’t mean I’d buy another one when I can buy the Predator for about one third the price. Is the Predator as good as the Honda? I don’t see how it could be. I will gamble when and only when the odds are heavily in my favor and I think they are in this case.

I have a honda 2000 and a Predator 3500. The Predator is quieter than the Honda and can run the AC and fridge and charge batteries at the same time.

Hmmm, I'd have to give that one some thought...

I’d take the DRV and sell it and that is what I would do with the Montana. I have all the campers I need.

3791RD here.
I have 2 x Honda eu3000is generators for a total of 6000 watts and almost 50 amps with a parallel cable.
50 amps on my generators is not the same as a 50 amp plug in a campground. A 50 amp campground plug supplies 12,000 watts of power (twice that of my 2 Hondas)
With the 2 Hondas I can run both my A/Cs and all the rest of the appliances on about 12 gallons of gas per day (hot day with A/C staying on). Plug in a hair dryer and it's all over!
With 50 amps of campground power I can run 2 A/C's a third portable A/C, a hair dryer and a margarita machine with no issues.

I have 2 Champion dual fuel (gas and propane) 3400w max inverters which I carry in the back of my dually. When connected together they give me 50amps to run everything in my 2018 3791RD at once using propane as fuel. The inverters were about $1000 each and are fairly quiet. Whatever Brand you decide on go with an inverter. They prevent electrical spikes or valleys and keep power at a steady current which your appliances will be thankful for.
