Greetings and thanks in advance

Hello everyone!

Pat and Carol here. Long time campers and outdoors people. Moved up progressively for backpacking to car camping to a pop up. A few years back purchased our first trailer, a 19' Lance. Enjoyed it so much we moved up to a 30' Lance.

Beginning our cross country travels soon and moving up again. It will be a Montana / Montana High Country 5th wheel - just not sure which yet.

Thanks in advance for all the great advice I am sure we will get.

Welcome to the forums and good luck with your impending purchase. This is a great forum site for everything Montana! Lots and lots of very knowledgeable and experienced Montana owners here. If you can't find the answer here, you probably won't find it anywhere. Again, Welcome!

Welcome to the MOC. As others have stated, you will find a LOT of good and useful info here. Good luck in your research and pending purchase.

If you dig into the forums and start to read, you are going to find many posts with negative comments about Montana and MHC. You will see posts from "frame flex" to "fridge failure". You will see posts from "slide roof bubbles" to "trim falling off". You might even read about "blow outs" and "hydraulic leveler failures". If you read far enough into this forum, you could probably find enough negative information to make you go running in another direction.

Just remember, forums like this are inherently negative in nature. People come here looking for answers to help them solve problems. I have done it myself. Just remember there is a reason that Montana and MHC are the number one selling fifth wheel in their class for many years. What you don't see here are a lot of posts from the thousands and thousands of Montana owners that have positive results and years of happy ownership of their Montana camper.

The good part is, this IS a great place for advice and answers and the folks here are more than happy to help you in every way. There is a wealth of Montana knowledge here and feel free to seek it! Good luck and stay safe!
