2 rigs with blown tires.
On my way to Texas this last week I saw 2 rigs on the side of the road with blown tires and side wall damage. One a Montana with what looked like Marathons and the other a older rig that probably had OEM tires that had aged out.
Check them tires...If it is a ST replace it. The money it will cost to upgrade or replace is cheaper than trying to explain to the wife why we are on the side of the road. My DW commented when we passed the Montana she was glad I spent the money on my LT tires.

In my sig. Bridgestone Durvias R250. A all steel tire weighing 59lbs that replaced my 37lb Marathons.
Your rig might be too heavy for a LT E rated tire.

Passed two on the way out here on I-44 in OK. Makes my 614's seem cheap everytime we see that.

Yes, for sure the G614's are money well spent. After changing over from the Marathons at the beginning of the camping season, I've relaxed a bit while towing. I'm not checking my mirrors constantly like I was. The peace of mind is priceless to me.

My Duravis R250s have served me well so far. Totally meet my needs. Good choice Jim!

This past year of towing our Monty has been a much more relaxed peace of mind with our new Michelin XPS Ribs(yes, our individual wheel weights indicate I can use this tire.) Also the TST system is well worth the investment. Told DW, "Look no white knuckles."

I replaced my Missions with Michelin XPS Ribs after one year. Never even a low tire. I add 2-3 lbs pressure at the start of each new season. TPMS makes for even less worry.
Good friend replaced his Missions with Marathons, assuming since they were Goodyear they must be US made. Wrong. Had 3 blowouts in 2 years. He was not happy when I showed him "Made in China" on the sidewalls.

A China made ST tire....it got it from the plant to the dealer. It did it's job. All Keystone is worried about.

We have the same tires as Lugnut. Lost two of them on our trip this summer. Both tires blew out on the sidewall rather than the tread. Will be looking to replace these tires for something more substantial. Dennis

Doesn't surprise me that Keystone's replacement tire isn't any better than Marathons. The real reason for the change is most likely the new ones are even cheaper.

This past July I purchased a new enclosed trailer from a factory in Georgia with these "cheap tires". I had to tow 300 miles home empty. Needless to say the next day I had new Maxxis tires installed. These ST tires did not even weigh 30 lbs.The rubber feels like a pencil eraser. One brake was too tight and caused a tire to slide thus exposing cords.
