In the first few photos of the tires, the ones with the Vietnam code, does it say those are 6 ply tires? The number is actually "276" ply. I'm not sure what it really means. That doesn't seem right. G rated Sailuns are 14 ply, my tires clearly say that on the sidewalls and don't have the DOT codes like the ones in the photos, just the date code.
This is an important question here!!!
6 PLY tires? What does the 276 ply indicate?

Following this thread with interest.
I bought my Saliuns from SimpleTire on 9/11 (2020) and had them mounted at a local Discount Tire a few weeks later. I will bet I have not put 100 miles on them yet. Our first trip since COVID will be in September.

My tires are "Made in China" with a date code of "2220" which is mid-May 2020.
My DOT marks say "MW 27" - I have no idea what that means.
Other marks: Plies: Tread Steel-4 Sidewall Steel-1...if my math is correct 4+1 = 5 plies...??? What are they supposed to be??

Edit: I found the notation "14PR"...not sure what that means.
also found load range 4080 lbs at 110 psi
and I already have metal stems.

Keep looking, they will say 14PR somewhere on the sidewall. Also look for the load range. (LR)

I'd invest a couple of bucks for metal valve stem caps.

Here is what the MW is with the new plant code identification.

MW = 1MW

I had a tire failure on my 2020 Montana. It failed because the valve stem was loose so it went flat but did not disintegrate. While running on low pressure it did visible damage to the tire but it did not completely disintegrate like yours. I called Keystone customer service and they gave me a phone number for Sailun tires – I called them and they shipped a new tire to my front door. Keystone Montana then paid (reimbursed me) for the labor to mount the tire onto the rim.

I just looked at the new Sailun tire I put on two weeks ago. It's a 1YJ, made in Vietnam date code 4920. I will be watching it closely.

I'm only guessing, but the 276PLY in the photo above appears to be part of the plant code, not that it is 276 ply tires.

Same here. Had them mounted last Friday. FedEx lost one of the four, so Simple Tire is shipping me another one. So far I have about 300 miles on them but time will tell.

Here is a reference that explains the DOT identification number. There are reasons why the entire number may not be on the sidewall you're looking at.

Correct low pressure warning. But the tire was still holding air.

For me the tire was running 15⁰ hotter than the others. When I pulled over I used a laser thermometer to check the tires 120⁰F (same as TPMS), the hub, 167⁰F and the drum 248⁰F.
I suspected the brake was dragging. When I went underneath I saw the brake spring wire sticking out of the inspection hole and it rubbed a groove in the tire. I bent the wire out of the way and went slow down the road 20 miles to our next Campground.
There I replaced the tire and brake assembly.

That is not a manufacture defect. Tires wearing in specific areas have something causing extreme heat to that spot. Loss of camber and or overloading. Hard to tell for sure, but it also looks like maybe something is gouging or rubbing where you see the belts.

Is that tire the same size as the OE tires?
