I need to add some fluid to the hydraulic leveling jack system. What kind do I use?

This is the Lippert recommended fluid: https://support.lci1.com/documents/t...recommendation

This is the recommended additive to use if you are experiencing popping from the leveling system: https://support.lci1.com/documents/t...raulic-systems

I thought the newer systems have AW32 (?) hydraulic oil instead of ATF.
ATF is redish in color; AW32 is clear.

rubio171: It really helps if you tell us the year and model of your Montana. Better yet, add that info to your signature.

ATF is hydraulic fluid, just has coloring and additives for transmissions. Our rig came with straight hydraulic fluid but over the years is now all ATF, and it still works just fine.

ATF has a lower viscosity then hyd fluid. Yes ATF is hyd fluid but it's for lower pressure and temperature systems. In this case low temps would be the issue. If you're in colder climates I'm told that HWH is a good product.

Either can be used. However they can’t be mixed. Keystone has been using aw32. So if it’s clear use aw32 if it’s red use atf.
