If you don't have one at all. I would go to a electrical supply, buy 40 feet of #6 and the buy you plugs. Build your own, you will have the extra 10 feet and still be cheaper then buying a 30 footer in most cases.

If I decide to build my own where do you buy the plugs? I've had a heck of time trying to find them around here. I thought some of the RV stores would carry them but no, not here anyway.

Oh, I did find a 30' 50 amp power cord on ebay for $179.99 with free shipping. I'm wondering if the cord will be so cheap it will be a nightmare to handle.
