General Oder in trailer

HI I have a 2017 Montana and have a oder in my trailer, possibly formaldehyde? I have a lot of wood. I open the windows and the smell is better but is strong after an hour of being closed up. Worse in the heat. Is this healthy and what is causing it?

Any advice would be great

This is different but I had an odor in my MH. Friends borrowed it and to be nice they cleaned the carpet with who knows what and it left an odor I couldn’t get out. I had a carpet cleaner clean it, didn’t help. He had an ozone machine. He ran it for 3 hours then I ran it for 2 more hours and it got the odor out. He said it would get skunk odor out. I was lucky a friend owned the carpet cleaning company.

Thanks this order is from the manufacturer not after the fact. Its part of the manufacturing process and it's very annoying.

Thanks

It does. Perhaps your sense if smell is your super power. Does anyone else smell it?

Thanks it's a strong odor, permeates everything. Would an ozone machine take care of it? Can you rent them?

My friend who owns one I think would say it would take care of the odor. I don’t know much about them. I didn’t know they existed until a couple weeks ago. Maybe someone else would know about them and I don’t know if you can rent one. He said he used to disinfect a lot campers until he got too busy. Now you know as much as I do about them.

Keep in mind ozone machines are not safe for use while occupied by humans, plants, or animals. You will need to leave the RV for about 6 hours for a 2 hour run cycle with an ozone machine. Ozone will get rid of odors very effectively though.

There is one more thing I can add. The machine is about 3 feet long a foot in diameter and weighs about 10 pounds and uses a few amps of powder.
