Pre-trip additional mods

In getting ready for the graduation trip, I had a couple of more mods that became this weekends priority. We have always kept a small dorm fridge in the basement and after adding the sliding tray, I had to come up with a new stand for it to sit on. This was accomplished with a couple of 2x6's and shelving to make the stand, painted black and provided with some non-skid shelf liner to prevent movement. The fridge fits like some design person intended it just for a 3850 and both DW and I are pleased with the results:

The shelf provides room beneath for storage of the shore cord:

The fit was perfect as the open door clears the basement door and the struts:

The other mod that was needed was to upgrade the OEM auto reset breakers to a couple of 80 amp models (link to which was provided by a MOC contributor to whom I am definitely grateful!). No more hesitation on the Level Up and the slides now:

The last item addressed was to equip the fender screws with spring clips. This had been done before, but last years accident and the replacement fender required the one side to be re-equipped with the spring clips. We are ready for Thursday trip now, once we get the camper loaded up Wednesday night. Happy camping everyone!!

Yes those hi-amp breakers look beefier than the normal cheap automotive arc n spark units. It is a good feeling when you accomplish improvements to the trailer. John

You've done another great job, and thanks for the tip on the spring clips. For some reason I had never thought of that.

Yes thanks for the spring clip idea. Coming home from Arizona this year I saw in my mirror the wheel skirting flopping away. Stopped and put in another screw. Another 10 miles down the road it was flopping again. Stopped put in another screw and put duct tape on the end. This worked.
I'll have to pick up some spring clips and do all of the screws. What type did you use Bingo as I found many different types when I googled?

I think they were the number 8 automotive type flat spring clips that are available at Lowes. They are also referred to as speed nuts. I just took one of the fender screws in and found the proper size. At Lowes they are in the specialty hardware drawers that are found in the hardware aisle. Here is what I am using:
