Winterizing ... everything
I don't believe that the two gallon pressure tank I installed horizontally between the water pump and the fresh water supply will drain completely when it comes time to do that for the winter. The by-pass hose and pump will certainly fill all the water lines with pink stuff, but the tank is just tee'd into the supply side - no water actually passes through it. In other words, what water is in there stays in there - unless it is drained. And the only way to drain it would be to remove it. Being the lazy sort, I'm wondering if the internal diaphragm will just flex under the pressure of the ice and prevent damage to the tank. I'd be happy to hear from anyone who has installed this noise-reducing modification, and has managed to get through a winter or two without damage. Thx
