Are there any RV parks near Washington DC?

Cherry Hill Park
College Park, MD
Prince William Forest RV Campground
Washington, DC
Aquia Pines Camp Resort
Washington, DC
Holly Acres RV & Marine
Woodbridge, VA
Pulled these up from the Good Sam site, all are Good Sam, but don't know anything else about them. I did filter the search for year round parks. Good luck, Bob

Duncan Campground in Lothian, MD. 20 minutes to downtown. Don't know if it's year round.

We used Cherry Hill Park a couple years ago. The DC transit bus stops at the office every day on a timely basis. The bus took us to the train station, main transport thru out DC. We left the truck in the park and rode the transit, there is little to none parking in DC!
Enjoy your tour no matter which cg you choose.

Cherry Hill gets good reviews, especially their concierge service and orientation. Like Steve said, you don't have to drive into town!

we did same as Steve and others cherry Hill. Forget parking in the District. Take the bus or Subway.
Cherry Hill is not cheap but worth it.

Baltimore/Washington KOA is also an option. They had a shuttle to the Metro station the last time we were there, but that's been a while so call ahead and ask!

We stayed at Cherry Hill last year. It's not a destination campground, but a place to park the rig while you see DC. They have a bus that will take you to the transit station where you can go into the city. Do go to the orientation at the park if you get there in time as they have good information about bus schedules, what to do in DC, and they have good deals with the tour bus companies to see DC by bus. We went on a segway tour while we were there and that was the highlight of the trip for both of us. Have fun!

Another option is Bull Run Regional Park. nvrpa.org It is 20 minutes from Vienna Metro station. However there is a shooting range/club on premises and some of the sites have reversed hook ups. Kind of funky.
The location is convenient access to the District.

I live in Alexandria, Va which is across the river from DC, the Cherry Hill park would be your best bet. There is also Pohick Regional Park off rte 1, not sure about size accommodations.
Holly Acres is a storage yard for boats and RVs, no camping .
I hope this helps

We stayed at Cherry Hill during the shutdown. A little expensive but lots of amenities. Nice folks.

We stayed at Cherry Hill Park in October...during the shutdown. Loved the park for all the reasons already mentioned and would stay there again.
