Lost winter site in Punta Gorda, FL
I appears we are losing our seasonal Snow Bird site in Punta Gorda, Fl due to the hurricane and need to come up with plan B.
Reliable information needed for seasonal camping in Florida, Texas or New Mexico
our timeline is November to April of 2023.
Thanks All and have a great day!

In the SW you would be warmer in Arizona near Yuma.

I think you are pretty much out of Luck on Florida. We're at a park Northwest of Tampa visiting the Daughter, normally only a couple of others here at this time of the year, they're almost full already and with the loss of Parks in the Ft. Myers area will put a damper on the Snow Bird Season for many.

Although it's much colder than Florida or Texas, many, many parks in Kentucky, Tennessee, South and North Carolina, and Georgia have year round camping. Of course, you've got to take some precaution again potential freezing in Kentucky, (but even Florida has been know to free up so much, Orange crops are lost and such. And even Dallas, Texas has seen it's share of snow and ice storms in the last few years.
Anyway, it's just something to think about if you have no other options, heading a bit further North, but still at campgrounds that are open year round. Colder weather camping is different, but it is a great experience too!
If Plan "B" does not work out, maybe this can be a Plan "C".

Ocala RV Resort in Ocala FL 352 307 1100 has seasonal sites available. Check out their web page. Not a bad option if you dont need to be close to a beach.

Florida site
We just gave up our seasonal site at a campground in Florida because my husband’s health has declined. The Campground is Torry Island Campground, in Belle Glade, Florida, 1-561-996-6322. Ask for Cindy, she’s awesome. It’s on Lake Okeechobee and mostly seniors and fishermen stay there. It’s cheap (around 650 a month) with few amenities and no where near a beach. Electricity and water are free. Sites are very large. Many of the sites are waterfront and all are water view. The people are wonderful there. It’s gated and safe too. Good luck!

You might try the panhandle of Florida. It’s the off season for that area. But still som beautiful beaches and you won’t have to shovel snow.

NW Florida
Don’t overlook Northwest Florida for possible sites. Known as the Forgotten Coast, stretching roughly from Perry,Fl( Taylor County) to Panama City, Fl., there are a number of nice RV parks as well as National Forest sites. We particularly enjoyed the park in Carrabelle and also Port St Joe( Presnells). Also several State Parks in the area.

There should be plenty of sites in the RIO GRANDE VALLEY Texas!
Most parks were only half full or less last season.
But still plenty of activities, entertainment, pools, golf, and a lot less congested shopping & Dining than AZ or FL.
But most parks are also "dated" and not as fancy/up to date (OR AS CROWDED) as AZ or FL....
