Got mine today, silver is at the 8 0'clock on mine also. My inlet also opens from the bottom on the Money. Haven't tried plugging it in yet but expect I will have to spin the inlet to make it work. Shouldn't be too big a problem but will have to wait until the rain is out of the forcast. It does appear to be a solid built plug.

I hope someone figures this one out before I head north to Montana to plug it in. Seems I recall somewhere about having to rotate the plug but didn't pay much attention at the time.

OK, simple fix........

If your ground clip is located on the top of the inlet(like mine was):

remove the 4 screws that hold the cover onto the camper

pull out the cover and some wire

notice on the back of the cover, the plug looks like a regular male headed cord

remove the 3 screws that hold the cord head from the cover

turn the cover to the right 1/3

put the 3 screws back in that hold the cord head onto the cover

put the 4 screws that hold the cover back onto the camper

your done....

I did check my wire screws to be sure the wires were secure, and they were. Also cleaned the cover before re-installing the 4 screws.

Thanks Tom. I got mine today and ran out between the liquid sunshine drops we're getting and mine is as you described. Obviously I haven't done your fix yet, but it's on the list!

Here are some pictures to go along with Tom's (oldelmer1) diretions. Total time: about 5 minutes.

Picture of screws to remove:

Receptacle removed:

Now remove these (3) screws:

Receptacle cover removed:

Now turn the plug to the proper orientation (check with new right angle adapter) in respect to the receptacle cover, and put everything back in place!

Finally got outside yesterday and rotated the electrical inlet and the new adapter hangs straight down. Took about 20 min. from start to finish. Thanks again for the great find and to Tom S for the picks.

You must be the only 1 that had their plug installed correctly...

I just received mine from Amazon today and it also fit without having to do anything to the receptacle on the Montana.
