Brad those are fab pics. Where were you?

Now please tell me where you can fill up for $68.49? Diesel is well over $3.00 a gallon here. Can't remember the last time I filled up for that little.

"Lunch with my Sweetheart" how sweet. You're a keeper!

Thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed your post.

Thanks Patty,

We were in Creede, CO. Keep forgetting how pretty my home state is. As for the diesel, I probably had some in the tank already . It's still over $3 a gallon here.

Great pict but you don't need snow for 4x4 at any camp site that is very hilly and you have to back up a gravel hill you need 4x4 as we were in 1 last spring and they told us if we did not have 4x4 we could not camp there as most spots are steep to hook up and all you do is dig a hole in the back john

Brad, I posted (as you know) awhile ago why 4x4 etc. Now all I have to say is couldn't that Ford do that in 4X2? Now I still have the old ford and now the new CHEVY I think the new truck could have gotten those pics in 4X2. Patty would even agree, since she's looked my truck over, that you should have not needed any add'l drive train help if it were a .... CHEVY. ----)))))))))))))
I gotta say I love kidding about truck brands. I still have all 3 89 Dodge 1/2 ton, and the other 2 in sig. Also 04 F150 and 02 Explorer. Kids, Trucks, Family and business that's all there is to my life. Oh yea, bills and taxes.

Great pics looking forward to trip out west next May or June.
Thanks for posting tranquility,
Chuck

thanks for sharing the pics! beautiful places to be. we left Colo about 3 wks ago and the aspens were just starting to change color. litte bit of snow on some mountain tops .... on Guanella Pass and in Deer Creek. the pics with the road reminded me of the "road" to our campground. as we neared our campground, a sign on the road said "Road Narrows". our son-in-law - on his first mountain road - freaked and said "to what!!!!" we got a good chuckle.

Brad -

Is that where you went from the rally? We're headed out that way in October. We want to hear the elk bugle. We're looking forward to that trip. If we hit snow, the old 4x4 will be getting a workout. This weekend its Door County. Glad you had a good trip.

We haven't made it to Colorado yet...it sure looks purdy.
One of these days we'll have to head out that way now that I have my diesel, and I know who to ask where to stay and what to see...

Thanks for the pics Brad - they look really serene.

I gotta go home and look at your pictures. They block them here at work. We have made it to Creede each of the last several years and were there in June and again the first week of September this year. Beautiful up there. And the pizza at Mac's Old Mine is outstanding.

Y'all think this might be a good mini-rally? They have tons of open space in September and have 2 clubhouses. I think they could take 75 or so. 10 is a minimum. Weather would be a gamble.

Brad,

Great shots! I too am always amazed at how beautiful our state is. We went up to Estes last weekend and drove over Trail Ridge and had lunch in Grand Lake. The scenery was beautiful there too. I'm up for a CO rally!
