gm factory tpms for trailers
I would like some feedback if anybody has or uses gm sensors on their trailers to use the factory monitoring on the touch screen. it would be nice not to have more screens and cords. My concern is signal strength and reliability. the are several you tube videos on this is looks very easy once you put the sensor inside the tire

Thanks

I have a 2020 GMC and use the factory sensors. They work great! The monitor only goes to 102 PSI so I have to check the PSI manually but if something were to happen I'd be forewarned by tire temp and anything below 102 PSI.

I've got a 20/20 GMC and I also use the TPMS on the trailer.
It's not a perfect system but it's better than none at all. I get faults on the sensors, so signal strength isn't what it really should be. However it's just a minor inconvenience compared to the reassurance of knowing when something does fail.
I do wish it would monitor higher than 102 PSI.

We have a 2022 3500 and pull a 40' rig. Occasionally we'll get a dropped signal. Not very often at all though. If it persists for too long I find that shutting the truck off takes care of it. Our monitor in the truck goes up to at least 132 PSI. We run 110 in our tires. I also carry a "learning" tool in case the sensors need to be reprogrammed

I have a 2020 Chevy HD, but use the TST-507 system and it works excellent. Already has saved me on two potential blowouts after picking up a 1/2" diameter bolt in one tire and a nail in the other.

Do you know anybody that switched over?
I'm wondering what the cost would be to do it.

I'm fairly certain that you it can do 6 sensors on both the truck and the trailer.

Anybody know the year of trucks from GM/Chevy that their trailer TPMS will work on?

Silverado & GMC Sierra (2019-2021 1500 & 2020-2021 HD) is an option for monitoring the tire pressure of the trailer wheels on the dash of the truck.
This from Google, Looks like 2020 to current HD models. The trucks usually come with 4 in tire trailer sensors.

We have a 2002 GMC Denali 1 ton, and have the factory (GM) TPMS sensors. I can read ours on the infotainment system, and these new ones will in fact read over 102psi,as I got mine set at 110psi.
