Last Wednesday was my Black Wednesday. My wife and I were planning a trip to Florida for the Air Force Explosive Ordnance Disposal (MasterBlasters) reunion. As I pulled the Montana out of its covered parking place to prep it for the trip, I caught the left rear of the RV on the 6X6 post at the edge of the parking slot. What happened next was just sickening.
I didn't realize I had snagged the post until it released the RV. Then I felt a slight jolt. I wondered what happened so I got out of my truck and walked back to the rear of the RV. Then I saw the damage.
The whole rear cap, ladder, and one window have to be replaced. That is the last time I try to pull the RV out by my self. This month's Camping World has an article about using your spouse, but I got it 1 week too late.
At least the reunion was great. Now I have to wait for my baby to get well. (Thank God for insurance.)
I have some pictures, but I need some technical assistance in posting them.
