Best Sewer Hose

Going to start making more and longer trips after the first of the year. One item I want to upgrade is the sewer hose. I have a FloJet macerator hard wired in the coach but it takes a long time to empty a full black tank and I always worry about overheating. I bought it mainly to dump at home in to a sewer clean out. Lots of options on sewer hose kits-Rhino Extreme seems to be a pretty tough one for the money. Any advice would be appreciated.

Rhino works well for us. I like that when you compress it, it stays compressed. If your dump connection is only a few feet from the sewer connection you only need extend it that far and not have the entire length stretched out on the ground

I agree with the Rhino. I learned the hard way not to skimp on items such as sewer hoses and tires.

I use Rhino Extreme as well. I also like the way the accordion hose stays compressed until you expand it. It makes it easier to use and store.

I have the Regular Rhino and the Rhino Extreme as well and prefer the Regular by far. The Extreme will not collapse and stay like the Regular will and the fittings aren't as reliable.

I have a custom hard pipe that is adjustable length wise, essentially it is two pieces of pvc piping that slide over each other connect by a victaulic coupling and then two flexible short pieces of hose on each end with appropriate regular sewer connections. I've had it for 12 yrs and it works awesome no muss no fuss and no leaks... It also does not need to be proped up or lifted while sitting for periods of time at rv park as it is rigid and therefore always has lots of fall. I bought it at a local rv shop Morry's Trailer Sales in Walkerton Ontario Canada for around 100 bucks and it is the best rv investment I ever made. He still carry's them..... I would post a picture but my rv is sitting in Florida hundreds of mile from me, just got home from there to play a gig and do Christmas then back down I go..... Cheers...

Got an email from a Camco rep today-told me that they are going to be releasing a new sewer hose next month that is better than even the Rhino Extreme. I will post the information about it when I receive it.

Have to agree with the Rhino Hose also. Have been using ours for over 6 years now and 4 of them are full timing. Not one problem! (Hope I just didn't jinks myself! )

We have the Drainmaster with the cam lock system. I'm not a fan of bayonet mounts, it seems the rv industry is the only industry still using it. The O rings fail too easily because it seals with a twisting motion. The cam lock seals with direct compression. It's fast, easy and bulletproof.

Hi

I guess it’s the rhino that we have black in color and stays collapsed and doesn’t wear out been using the same one for 7 years.

Purchase a red one that doesn’t collapse and it broke the couplers in the second use.
