I have just installed airbags on my Ram, what pressure do you use when towing a 3582RL ?

I usually ran mine about 45 P.S.I. and that made my old F350 nice and Level when I had the 5er hooked up but your Dodge and 3582RL may be a little different but I think that is a good starting point for ya

What ever pressure it takes to level the truck and trailer. I run mine about 70 psi.

I usually run mine about 50 psi. when towing the Montana. When empty you should always keep about 5 psi in them!!

I adjust mine according to the ride. If I feel every little ripple on the road I let out a little air to soften the ride. I also run about 75# in the flex air pin box..
I would start at 40# in the airbags on the truck and adjust from there.

What you all run make me wonder about my truck! Only need 20 - 25 psi to get everything level, and that's loaded. I don't like any more as it makes the truck ride too hard when we're driving about once we've set up at a CG. Don't travel with a lot of fresh water unless we're going to dry camp either.

I also run 45PSI with trailer and I run 10PSI empty. Works well for me.

Walt ... I'm just a bit more in the 30 - 35psi range. If I ran 50 or more in mine, my rig would look like the ass high street rods of the 70's. It all boils down to your truck's suspension, pinweight, and where the hitch was mounted in your bed.

Also whether a dually or not. Did not have a problem with SRW 350 but when I moved to a DRW 350, needed airbags to stay level.

We are with Walt. We run 20/25 psi in the airbags to level out. We do have the heavy duty springs etc on the rear truck so tha tmay be the difference.

Hi John
We run a 2012 3402 on the back of a 2012 GMC 2500HD. We put bags in to prevent the rear suspension from hitting the snubbers only when going over unseen bumps in the road. Our truck sat about an inch down without them. I run 15 - 19 lbs hitched up and have found that our shock absorbers still function, when empty and unhitched I maintain 3 lbs in the bags for shape only, 5 lbs and we can feel it. I would try different pressures if I were you, testing with a digital gauge and trailer hooked up, keeping in mind that lower is better allowing your shock absorbers to do the work they were designed to do, otherwise we may as well just cut blocks of wood and jam them in there.
