Pull-rite Tow Non-Pull-Rite Pin
Anyone know the answer?
Can I pull a 5th wheel with a non-Pullrite pin with a Pull-rite hitch?

[s]If I understand the pull right pin, it has a wedge towards the rear to cause the hitch head to rotate moving the whole hitch towards the rear when turning. The tighter the turn the farther to the rear the hitch moves.
Therefore, I would "ASS-U-ME" you could pull my trailer with your hitch. The problems develops when you start making tight and tighter turns. So I would be very cautious with any turn of 60 to 65 degrees or more. I just picked that number to be safe.
Again just my opinion.
No I could not pull your trailer with the wedge installed.[/s]
I am in error see CORattler post below.
The best answer is above, call pull rite.

absolutely NOT....they offer an option you can buy so if you break down and a wrecker company needs to tow your 5th wheel...they can do it...cost about 150 5 yrs ago..have never needed it but carry it just in case...if the non pull rite trailer slide around on you it will be next to impossible to get it unhooked...would need to remove hitch to get out of truckbed...

From the owners manual:
Can I pull other 5th wheel trailers with my SuperGlide hitch?
Your SuperGlide hitch can only pull trailers equipped with the SuperGlide trailer plate. If you hook up to a trailer that does not have a trailer plate installed, there is nothing keeping the hitch in the forward towing position and the weight of the trailer will cause the head to turn and slam or “free fall” to the rear which can cause damage to the hitch, truck, and the king pin. We do not recommend locking the hitch in any way to keep it in the forward position.

Thanks to all. I was hoping to be able to help a MOC'er who has had his truck breakdown. Move them to another camping site for an extended stay while they get hte truck repaired

Be careful! The model capture plate used is dependent on the type and size of your pinbox.
