Mineral Spirits ... just keep it away from rubber roof unless in a very small amount immediately washed off with soap and water. Use a plastic scraper to remove as much as you can before using a rag soaked in Mineral Spirits.

I've used plastic razor blades. Go through a bunch of them but they're cheap on Amazon. After most of it has been scraped on, I used Goof Off and a fresh blade to get the rest of the silicone off. Then I used Formula 409 and a toothbrush to prepare for new caulking.
Pro Flex is the only caulk I will use. It's much easier to remove when necessary and much easier to work with than silicone.

Thanks, I’d not heard of plastic razor blades.

I used McKanica silicone remover and it worked really well. It’s toothpaste thick so I put it on with a toothbrush, put plastic wrap over it and let it sit for about 3 hours. Then used the plastic razor blades. I bought it at Ace Hardware.

I used it about 3 years ago, didn’t know you can’t get it anymore. Thanks for the heads up.

I read that 90% rubbing alcohol works; does anyone have experience with it?

My DW read the fine print on the Motsenbockers
bottle and it clearly states not for use on fiberglass. I think that rules it out for RV use.
