Dirt Devil Vac Bags
We could use more Intervac/Dometic vac bags. A search showed some substitute Dirt Devil bags for the more expensive and less available Intervac bags. Unfortunately for me no one posted which model bag they used.

I found the Dirt Devil CV950 bags at Camping World and they seem to work in our Dometic. The wife isn't really pleased with the performance of the central vac but I don't think it has anything to do with the Dirt Devil bags. I did have to trim a little off the cardboard retainer to make it fit right.

I looked at the Dirt Devil bags camping world said would do the job and since I'm the vacuum user and I think it currently works ok, I was reluctant to buy them. I just ordered the high dollar replacement bags from the company on the internet.

Not enough difference in price to worry about. Intervac sells 5 for $16, centralvac sells 5 for $20 and Camping world sells Dirt Devils 3 at a time, but 5 if they sold them that way would be $13. I'll stick with the right kind and worry about diesel prices.

Dick, It's more the availability rather than the price. Looks like I'll need to purchase online so I may as well get the Intervac bags. When the posts were made I thought that those substitute bags were available at retail stores that sold Dirt Devil vacs and bags... think Wally World.

Got it! I haven't been able to find them anywhere like that. Finally gave up and ordered a bunch on the net. Cut shipping down that way and I won't have to worry for a long time.

Dick,
where did you end up ordering the bags from?
Also, does anyone use the Air Driven Turbo Head, and is it worth $119.00?

We have a air driven turbo head and so far I love it. I use the wand that came with the Vac system and not the one that came with the turbo head. I like the way it brings the knap of the carpet back up. We did not buy the Intervac Air Turbo, the one we bought was a different brand. Try the website ThinkVacums.com. They have all different models at different prices.
