Shake down trip
Hello forum, We have been on the forum for a couple of weeks now, picked up our new 2955RL a week ago just in time for the Holiday weekend. First trip out was only 50 miles to local campground, but we did spend 4 nights in the new rig. Lets see, I think the worst problem I found was 3-4 loose cabinet screws (one was stripped). Oh, and a sticky lock on the outside shower door. Wow! are we impressed so far. We traded in a 256F Kit Companion, so are very happy with all the additional room. We looked at a Hitchhiker II that would have worked, but could not get the price we wanted, also were really torn between this unit and a 2003 Jayco. Jayco was sold, and they are not going to make that model anymore, the Montana has all the same features except the generator. Looks like we made a good decision.
