Mike,

We did not think we would ever use the phone connection either, UNTIL, we got to Donna Texas last year, and part of the "freebies" at the park we stayed in was FREE phone, local use, as long as the call did not go over 30 minutes.

Went out and purchased a phone, and plugged er in! Did use it quite a lot, for calling local businesses, reservations for day trips, and calling other Rver's in our park. Came in very useful.

I can tell you, that we NEVER would have imagined having a phone in our RV, say, 10, even 5 years ago! But, we were still doing weekends and vacations then. Going full time, or long times, like we do now, puts a different light on the subject of a phone!

In our travels last winter, we connected to the internet via cable, cell phone and standard phone (in and out of our rig). Like to leave our options open, and it has paid off.

Let us know what you decide on this improvement!

Cheers,

Carol
