On Friday 8th April we are leaving McAllen, Tx. Expect to be in Victoria, Walmart that evening. Next night in Flying J at Shreveport, Louisiana. Up the Natchez Trace to Nashville Flying J. Then to Middlebury, In. to get the tub replaced at Fox RV. (recommended by factory). Across 20 East to 1000 Islands Crossing north of Syracuse, N.Y. into Canada with nightly stops at Flying J's. Should be home around the 15th. I'll look for Montys on the way. Safe travels everyone.

It was great to see both of you again and to meet your son. We wish you safe travels heading back home. We were in Nashville visiting my daughter last weekend and plan on heading to Ohio within the next week or so. We are currently at Mama Gerties campground in Ashville, NC. and will be here for a week. It is such a beautiful campground and we would highly recommend it to anyone.

Here's hoping you are all MISSING the nasty storms we are seeing on the weather reports, Mississppi, Alabama, Louisiana. Some nasty looking stuff, stay safe you guys!

For any of you that might be thinking of which way to head next, the Wildflowers are still NOT peak in the Hill Country and Fredericksburg area. The bluebonnets are sure pretty, but the locals tell me they still are not peak.

Be safe and careful out there.

Drive safe, Bill and Ann. Fox RV did some terrific fibreglass work on our 2001 2880RL. You can stay in the rig in their parking lot with electric hookups if they do not need your rig inside all night.

Home again. Arrived on Friday. Fox RV fixed our tub and on the way home the main slide wouldn't work properly. Larry Fox fixed it in a hot two minutes. A bolt fell off. Now I have to work on my connector on the truck. The connection to charge the batteries isn't working even after I changed the fuse as I thought it had blown.

Glad to see you made it home safe and sound.

I was wondering if you have had any problems spending the night at any of the Flying J's? We have a 3670 also. Do you put your bedroom slide out and do you have a generator? We have a Mitsubishi 6700 watt generator and it didn't sound that loud in the store but it sure does running it in the pole barn. We are concerned it may cause a problem. Sorry for all the questions but any information would be greatly appreciated.

tbhd: We usually park along the grass in the area marked off for cars. By parking this way the unit is still inside the lines for the cars and you can put out all slides. Some people run gennys but usually turn them off early. We have a Makita 6500 but don't take it with us. The battery will last all night even running the furnace. Any more ? will gladly answer.

Thanks for getting back with us. My concern is running the air conditioning in the summer (boy am I spoiled). I also have a breathing machine that runs at night. This time of year though it wouldn't necessary for the air. We've added a second battery, inverter and one of those jump start portable battery which also has a built in air compressor. Trying to be prepared. Good to know that the batteries will run the furnace for the night also. We may give Flying J a try.

Bill and Anne, glad to hear that you got home safe. We had hoped to get together again in Texas but things get pretty hectic. Started out to visit your park twice but never made it...sorry!! Maybe we can try again next year!!! Sharranand I had a great, relaxing trip on the way home....21/2 weeks, and great weather. We did have one eye on the storm warnings thorough Miss. and Louisianna but managed to avoid them all.
