I carry one and have never needed two in a short time. Some here carry two which seems like overkill to me.

The cables for different length slides will be different lengths. So which slide do you wont to get cables for?

The BAL replacement cable kit has a cable that is long enough for any application. You will have to cut it after installation. That is why a *GOOD* set of cables cutters is highly recommended.

We have a 2020 High Country 334bh and the master bedroom slide cables broke on us over the forth. It was the set that pulls the slide out. Dealership “ fixed it” and when I was cleaning it up to put in storage I noticed where the cables are crimped at the outside bracket, the crimp was split! Took it back the hade it a month but it’s fixed for now. I talked to a couple RV techs about this and they said the factory sets the tension to tight. I asked dealership about this. They said yep but they can’t adjust it tell it breaks due to warranty.

Thanks. I suspected as much. One extra cable kit ordered through dealer as everything I found on line was out of stock. Dealer charging $42. Better than the $80+ some on line want to charge.

I've also had a BR cable snap and the same one now has a small fray. I'm going in next week to ask the dealer to adjust the brackets but suspect they will say it's OK. Ha! Their pat response. I too am having difficulty finding replacements but luckily have one they can use for now. Note that if it's the one next to the bathroom as oppose the from the design of my High County makes that one extremely hard to replace because of the shower enclosure.
