Something wrong !!!!
100 miles prior everything looked good during a fueling inspection.
Three miles from home all H@#$ broke loose.
Note in the first photo how the axle has slid back.
2019 3120RL
Does anyone know what if any of this is under warranty?
thanks,
-ed

More than likely, you have a Dexter axle. Click here so you know what Dexter has to say about it's warranty program.

It is a Dexter Axle, are the leaf springs part of the Dexter axle?

Out of curiosity was the trailer subject to a heavy braking?

I don't think I've ever seen a sheared leaf spring center bolt which is what happened. It looks like it can all be realigned and be 100% with a new one.

Can’t quite tell from your photo, but it looks like the eyelets are broken on each end of the spring. Did the spring hanger break off of one end? Would take a major jolt to break both ends at once I would think.

It doesn't look like the centering pin let go based on the pictures. I can't tell if the spring is broken or let loose from the hanger. Something tore up that spare tire and bent the jack.

To me it looks like the top spring is still in the hangar with the bolt intact and the entire pack has slid to the right.
It looks like the center bolt hole in the top spring right above the left side of the brake disc.

I agree. The top leaf is still attached to the hanger. But all the leafs below it have slid backward. You can see the scrape marks on the side of the top leaf. And yes, you can see the hole in the left side of the top leaf where the bolt was. Top leaf looks bent, although that may be the normal contour. Probably just needs a new spring pack unless the strain damaged the axle.

I would definitely start with your dealer and get them to file a warranty claim. I'm guessing that Lippert welded the hangers on the frame so between them and Keystone's 3 year structural warranty someone should step up for this one.
The one "gotcha" I can potentially see is that if the hanger didn't break and only the bolt came out then they might claim that you didn't inspect the torque on the bolts which would be a maintenance issue. I can't tell if the front of the spring is still attached or not...or if the spring pack just slipped back. Still, I would get a claim filed and see what help you can get.
Edit: who installed the disk brakes? Did they get everything properly seated and torqued?

Bigger screen and better picture now, and can see spring at rear is still attached to hanger. Can’t tell about front of spring. Could the U-bolts have loosened allowing the springs under the top leaf to shift?

I notice that the tires have different rims. Is that due to the retrofit of aftermarket disk brakes? I have the same concern as a previous member who commented. I would question whether all components were torqued and aligned correctly after the disk brake install..... assuming they needed to loosen those components to being with.
Also, and this may be way off base, but was it possible that the disk brake on that wheel grabbed significantly harder than the other? Or maybe suddenly engaged at 100% for some reason? That could have thrown everything out of whack.
If what occurred had anything to do with the install of aftermarket disk brakes, you may have trouble with a warranty claim.

That front tire looks like the spare. Did you have a flat or blowout on the front tire putting all the weight on the back tire before this spring issue happened?

.....more to the story
Before our 402 mile one-way trip through 100+ degree central Calif, I noticed that the passenger side front axle tire was wearing on the outside edge. All the other tires looked fine. Playing the caution-side I replaced that wheel with the brand new spare. So with 120 miles left to go (680 miles traveled so far) we fueled in fresno. As I do, I walked around the trailer, visually checking what I could see. I looked at the spare and it did show signs of wearing on the outside edge. This would need to be inspected when we get home. Three miles from home the driver side front tire blew. It took Good Sam 3 hours to get the blown tire replaced with the tire that was on the passenger side front axle before we left. The next morning inspection shown two tires with exposed steel plys and the other one well worn along with the original passenger side front (which was now on the driver side front). I have applied to Dextler Axle for warranty repair. Along with an appointment on Sept 2 to have the trailer towed to a local shop. I will be creating another post on tires.
thank you all for your advice!!!

That is a lot of tire wear in a short amount of time. Outside tire wear would be concerning to me. My guess is that something was broken and eluded the visual inspection. Then add to it the gauntlet known as highway 99. You are blessed in that it wasn't a much more destructive breakage.

This is why I carry 2 spare leaf spring packs, bushings and bolts. Paranoid I guess. Cheap enough to. Not a difficult repair even on the side of the road. Or parts available at any cargo trailer shop any town USA. If you have to have it repaired under warranty I would insist on having the other side replaced as it has twisted the axle and no doubt put undo strain on the other side U-bolts, spring pack and spring pack hangers. I already had the Morryde 4000 suspension blow the rubber insert out on a trip and now carry a spare. That cost me 2 days in a campground waiting for an overnight delivery so we could move on.

Broken Hanger
I had this happen to my 2018 Montana 3560rl 3 months ago. I could not get into a dealer. No one wants to handle the warranty work. I had it repaired at a big rig tractor trailer shop. I am still trying to get this claim paid. All I get is the run around. The 3 year structural warranty is worthless. Good Luck!
