Onan generator

My generator runs extremely hot with cover one and access door closed. Has anyone ever cut a 4” hole in top or the fire box then into top cover of generator and instal a dryer vent hose to outside of camper where another vent hole would be cut?

Just my opinion but putting a hole in that “fire box” is a bad idea. As the name you used for it tells it all.

Get a vented door if you’re worried about it.
