Help A Newbie

Hello,

This is my first post in the forum. I just purchased a 2001 Keystone Montana and need help. I had a faulty 5th wheel hitch and the trailer came unhooked in my neighborhood and dropped on the bed of the truck. Truck damage has been repaired, however the front cap of the trailer is still damaged. Im being told they stopped molding them and need help locating a new front cap for the trailer. Any help would be appreciated.

You did not indicate how much front cap damage you had, if not too bad, maybe a fiberglass repair of the cap?

After a quick look at a 2001 and a 2004 cap (The earliest Trekwood says they have) they look similar so you could try Trekwood and see if they can provide you with measurements etc.

Bigbore,

Welcome to the forum!

It may be time to consider a different rig if the damage is bad.

You didnt say how much damage to the front cap. They are fiberglass and if its not destroyed maybe a body shop that does fiberglass work may be able to help you out. I damage a corner of my front cap on my toy hauler. I had a body shop fix it for me so I wouldn't have to replace the cap.

Its smashed pretty bad. Came disconnected from truck and smashed the bed and front cap. Fiberglass repair is feasible but extensive and will look bad. Want to find a new or used one if possible.
