Montana High Country

Complaints on my 2017 High Country, #1 Microwave vented to the in side of RV how dumb is this. #2 I do not think the fresh water tank can be filled unless you are hooked up to a water supply, how dumb is this. #3 the front storage door can not be opened all the way when hooked up to my pickup truck, it will hit the tail gate door. This is total ridiculous. Engineering is terrible. Would like some feed back

My 2104 HC microwave is vented out side. Not seeing the problem. I have a fresh water fill at the rear on the drivers side. I can open my storage door and their is a little clip that you can open and put the lid in to hold it up. Not familiar with what 2017 has.

I have a 17 345rl and pull with a short bed Ford. My front storage door opens just fine when the tailgate is closed. The microwave is vented outside. I do need to hook up to water to fill the fresh tank. Had to hook up with my travel trailer as well.

Use the internal pump and the Winterize port to fill the fresh water tank from jugs. Personally I use a 40 gal. bladder and a 12V pump to fill the tank. There has been many, many posts on how to do this. Do a Search on "fresh water fill" to find them.

You will find the same thing on most all brands! Most all the new ones fill through the city water line now, My micro vents inside to that y it has a char-col filter in it, I don't put any thing in the front that need will i'm hooked up.

All of those things were visible and like that before you paid for it. Just wait until you have to fix things that should never have left the factory broken, undone, mislabeled, and untested. Then you will have something to complain about.

If you cut the freshwater tank drain about a inch or two from the under belly and put a 90 degree shark bite connection on it, add a length of hose to that fitting to get it to either the back or the side of the unit, put a shark bite faucet to the end of that hose, you can turn on the faucet to drain the tank without climbing in underneath the unit but you can also fill your fresh water tank from that very faucet and even disinfect the tank that way also. Works great for a friend of mine and I plan on installing the same thing on my unit before heading South for the winter. I'll be adding a cap to the faucet so insects don't take up residence in the faucet also.
