"Accidents do happen, even at the best dealers. As was said, if they notify you and make it right, why make a big deal out of it? Save your wrath for those instances where it's needed."
I'll tell you why make a big deal out of it ... because 90% of the time, they'll half ass it back to kinda sorta like it was before you ever took it in for the original problem. You end up with an RV in a lesser condition that before you ever took it to the dealer. You wouldn't put up with "accidents happen" if you take your car or truck into a dealer, so why cut some slack on an RV dealer???
Dam Workers latest post attests to many of our experiences with dealers ... sad ... pitiful ... incompetent ... why even take it in.

That's to bad sorry to hear about Dealers that do stuff like that. at first I thought you were at a Mike Thompson Dealer but your in Washington I'm sure they will fix the Cap they are made of PVC and I believe those can be repaired and repainted.

I noted that even at our dealer who is excellent that the guys moving Rv's around with tractors were flying around the Holding lot returning and picking up Rv's. It is a dirt lot and not exactly smooth. The Rv's were bumping up and down and that can't be good. The dealership was just swamped with service work. Both dealerships our local city are also swamped.

It pays to do a lot of research and find a reputable dealer. They are out there.
